Dario is a true friend. Dario’s isn’t just one of the best pizza places in Lubbock — it’s one of those locally owned businesses that reminds you why you should support local. The food is absolutely outstanding. The pizza is fresh, the crust is fantastic, the ingredients are quality, and you can tell there’s real care put into what comes out of that kitchen. But what really separates Dario’s from everyone else is Dario himself. He genuinely cares about his customers, takes pride in what he serves, and makes you feel like he actually appreciates you choosing to walk through his door. There are plenty of places where you can buy a pizza. There aren’t nearly as many where the owner takes this much pride in his food, his business, and the people he serves. If you live in Lubbock and haven’t tried Dario’s yet, you’re missing out. Skip the chains and go support a local guy who’s doing it right. Great food, great service, and an owner who deserves every bit of the success he’s earned. Dario’s has my vote for some of the best pizza in Lubbock. 10/10 — absolutely recommend.

Knew right away as soon as I walked in the door this was an old school Italian pizza joint! Met with a welcome left with a thank you. If you know you know! An original Pumba! Pizza was awesome had a slice of cheese while waiting and took home a meat lovers! Delicious 🤤 definitely going back back for a calzone they looked awesome!

I went to Dario's yesterday for lunch with my son. It was my first time in, but it smelled delicious! The establishment sells full pizzas, pizza by the slice, specialty pizzas and their Calzones (Yum! I had "The Original!"). A great pizza restaurant with kind staff and awesome food. Definitely a homemade pizza feel and not a fast food! I do not say that because they were not fast. They were pretty fast at food service. I say that because their calzones and pizzas are a homemade not fast food quality. Excellent 👍🏼 Give Dario's a try!!

I’m fairly new to Lubbock, so I researched local pizza restaurants online; I read reviews, looked at photos, and browsed the menu. Dario’s was an excellent choice! Dario approached me at the counter as I was describing what I like to the assistant. He asked me my preferences, and I told him olive oil instead of marinara, lots of veggies, and pepperoni. He asked me twice if I had any allergies, which impressed me. He even asked if I wanted him to wipe clean the pizza cutter because it usually has marinara on it! Yes, please (and I could tell that he did). I ordered the Dario Calzone because of positive feedback. Man oh man, that Olive oil veggie & pepperoni pizza was DELICIOUS! It had mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives, tasty pepperoni, and the perfect amount of olive oil. The crust is spot on, soft inside with a little crunch on the outside. The calzone flavor is incredible and robust! It has slightly spicy marinara with pepperoni, sausage, and cheese (think that’s correct). It’s huge and savory inside but crisp and light outside. PERFECT!!! Dario made it all fresh, and it was ready in about 20 minutes (with multiple groups inside). He closes at 8 but

This is a great place. Was looking for a place to eat some good pizza and stumbled on to this gem! The owner is a down-to-earth earth guy and his pizza is delish. Every person that walked in got a honest welcome. Dario talks to all his customers, and ensures they get a good hot pizza or calzone. I ordered a pepperoni jalapeno pizza and it hit the spot. All the people in the restaurant were genuinely enjoying their good and happy to be there. He talked about how he preps everything, every day after he closes. I hope everyone reads this and goes and enjoys one of the best pizzas in Lubbock!!
